Description: The Insects Module introduces students to the life sequences of a number of insects. Darkling beetles, milkweed bugs, waxmoths, silk moths, painted lady butterflies, crickets, and ants are a fewof theorganisms observed over time. Students observe and compare insectstructuresand behaviors in different stages of the life cycle, discussand record findings,and pose questions to be resolved. Students experiencecomplete and simpleinsect metamorphosis and are introduced to a samplingof the diversity inthe animal kingdom.
