Hands-On Activities
1. Use water, a measuring cup, and water to demonstrate the following: How many cups are in a pint? A quart? A gallon?
2. Make a Measurement Millie:

a. Give each child 4 sheets of paper of the same size (four different colors).
b. Label one sheet of paper “gallon.”
c. A second sheet of paper is folded into four parts and labeled "quart."
d. A third sheet of paper is folded into eight parts and labeled "pint."
e. The last sheet of paper is folded into 16 parts and labeled "cup."
f. Assemble the pieces and add a head to create Measurement Millie.
