Larry Cat In Space

Student Programs Lesson Information, Standards Correlations, and Post Visit Activities

Larry Cat In Space
: (Grades 4K, 5K, 1 & 2• Planetarium • 60 minutes) “Larry Cat in Space” is a playful and imaginative presentation about an inquisitive cat that takes a trip to the Moon. Throughout the show, Larry gives us his “cats-eye view” of the Moon, backyard astronomy, space travel, and what it is like to live on the Moon. After watching Larry’s adventure to the Moon, his trip is compared with NASA’s Apollo missions as NASA slides and a Saturn V model rocket are discussed. Students will also have a brief look at the “sky tonight.”
