Star Party

The Ruth Patrick Science Education Center at the University of South Carolina - Aiken will host a Star Party on Saturday, November 8, 1997 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Members of the Augusta Astronomy Club will have telescopes available to view the moon, planets and stars. Every half-hour, there will be a 15-minute lecture giving information on general astronomy. This is no charge for these activities and people are encouraged to bring their families to enjoy the carnival.

During the Comet Carnival, the DuPont Planetarium at the Ruth Patrick Science Education Center will be showing, "Through The Eyes of Hubble". The planetarium shows will be at 6:00 p.m., 7:00 p.m., 8:00 p.m., and 9:00 p.m. on November 8. Tickets are $4 for adults, $3 for age 65 and older (with ID), and $2 for K-12 students. Children under 4 years old are not admitted. Tickets will be available on a first come first serve basis on November 8.
