The DUPONT PLANETARIUM Proudly Presents

"The Voyager Encounters"

Voyager 1 and Voyager 2 space craft were launched in 1997. They passed through our solar system and flew by Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. This show documents the Voyager encounters with these planets. The show discusses the functions of Voyager's instrument packages; the highlights of each flyby; and compares and contrasts each of the planet's atmospheres and magnetic fields, their moons and ring systems. As the guests encounter planets with the Voyager probes they are directed by narrator Patrick Stewart (Captain Jean-Luc Picard of "Star Trek - The Next Generation"). This show was produced by Lochness Productions.
