On the lawn: Members of the Astronomy Club of Augusta will have telescopes available for viewing.

The Bechtel Telescope in the RPSEC Observatory: 7:30 - 10:00 PM

Planetarium Shows: Join us in our newly updated DuPont Planetarium with full-dome full-color experiences that will amaze and inspire. 6:00 and 7:00 PM - Magic Tree House. 8:00 and 9:00 PM - Cosmic Colors

Magic Tree House: Space Mission
Magic Tree House LogoTravel with the brother-sister duo, Jack and Annie, in their Magic Tree House as they discover a note that asks them to answer a series of six questions about space. With the help of the astronomer, the Internet, an astronaut, books and the writer of the mysterious note, Jack and Annie are taken on a wondrous journey of adventure and learning. This exciting voyage will carry visitors to the planets and far out into the Universe where Jack and Annie nearly get… Well, we don't want to give it away. The adventure is just beginning!
Target audience: Young Children

 

Cosmic Colors
Cosmic Colors will take you on a wondrous journey across the entire electromagnetic spectrum. Discover the many reasons for color—like why the sky is blue and why Mars is red. Take a tour within a plant leaf and journey inside the human eye. Investigate x-rays by voyaging to a monstrous black hole and then back at your doctor's office. You will even see the actual color of a dinosaur--based on recent evidence. Get ready for an amazing adventure under a rainbow of cosmic light!
Target audience is 5th grade and above.
