From the Henry Buhl, Jr. Planetarium at the Carnegie Science Center comes "Journey Into the Living Cell". This educational program may be targeted for the younger audience, but the sophisticated level of scientific imaging from the Center for Light Microscope Imaging and Biotechnology (CLIMB) and other major scientific laboratories throughout the country will challenge even the most educated audience member. Fluorescently stained parts of the cell fill the planetarium dome with the visual wonder of the cytoskeleton. A tour, led by narrator Gates McFadden (Dr. Beverly Crusher on "Star Trek - The Next Generation"), visits major organelles and explains their basic functions and structure.
