2013 Annual Conference Morehead Planetarium and Science Center, UNC Chapel Hill

The 9th annual meeting of the Carolina Association of Planetarium Educators (CAPE)—note: planetarians outside of NC and SC are welcome too —will be held starting Monday afternoon, August 26, through Tuesday afternoon, August 27, 2013, at Morehead Planetarium and Science Center, on the campus of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (

Amy Sayle, Richard McColman, and Mickey Jo Sorrell will be your hosts for this 1½ day conference. We hope to welcome many of you to Chapel Hill, NC, to share ideas. We'll have plenty of time in our 68-foot fulldome theater, as well as a visit to the Morehead Observatory's 24-inch telescope and remote observing room.

The registration fee of $40 includes three meals (Monday dinner, Tuesday breakfast, Tuesday lunch). For the first 10 people who register we can also provide free parking. Please help us with our planning by registering no later than Thursday, August 1. Use this link

Morehead is located in downtown Chapel Hill. We can provide free parking in front of the building for the first 10 people who register for the conference. Otherwise, parking within a block or two is usually available, but do expect to pay for it. Please carpool. For a map of parking in downtown Chapel Hill, see (#22 is the Morehead Planetarium lot. The closest pay parking decks are #17 and 21.)
