Description: The course features hands-on use of the TI-83 and TI-92 graphing calculators and Calculator Based Laboratory (CBL) units in teaching and learning mathematics. Teachers will be immersed in hands-on algebra, statistics, and interactive geometry using cooperative learning environments. Guided discovery activities and real world applications in algebra will be mathematical modeling tools. Discussions focusing on assessment, implementation and pedagogical issues will be incorporated throughout with special attention to NCTM Standards.
