Science Partners Involved in Community Education

The 1st Annual SPICE Day will be held on April 22 at USC Salkehatchie. SPICE is a cooperative effort between the CSRA HUB, USC-Salkehatchie, Allendale County Schools, and the community. SPICE will provide hands-on science activities and demonstrations for elementary and middle school students and their parents to explore. Science is a discipline that influences our everyday lives. It is a problem solving discipline that leads to the technology that improves the lives of everyone. SPICE Day will be an event that enhances positive attitudes about science and math. SPICE will stimulate critical thinking skills by providing activities that will actively involve participants in ''real life'' science and math.

The event has been scheduled for Saturday, April 22, 1995 from 10:00 to 3:00 at USC Salkehatchie. The goal for the first year is to involve at least 500 students and their parents from Allendale and surrounding counties.
