The Natural Resources/Environmental Education Program

The Ruth Patrick Science Education Center and The United States Department of Energy (DOE) have developed a natural resource and environmental education program that will provide third through eighth grade students and teachers practical, hands-on experiences in science and mathematics. The program is hosted by the United States Forest Service (USFS). Students are brought to selected areas on the Savannah River Site on a regular basis. They participate in hands-on activities selected by a team of professionals from the RPSEC, the USFS, and a team of Aiken County Public Schools master teachers. Ms. Pam Feagans-Graves is the programÕs director. She, working in conjunction with groups mentioned earlier, is responsible for implementing all aspects of this program. For more information, contact Pam at (803) 648-6851 or (803) 725-8712.
