Teachers Sharing with Teachers
Saturday, January 23, 1999, USC Aiken, 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
The Central Savannah River Area, Bamberg-Calhoun-Orangeburg, and Midlands Improving Math and Science Hubs, the Aiken Council International Reading Association, the USC Aiken Chapter of Phi Delta Kappa, and Aiken County Public Schools will co-sponsor an Instructional Fair in Mathematics, Reading/Language Arts, Science and Techonology on January 23, 1999, at the University of South Carolina Aiken. Registration will begin at 8:00 a.m. in the Business and Education Building. Concurrent sessions and workshops will start promptly at 8:30 a.m. and end at 2:00 p.m.
The goal of the Instructional Fair is to provide an opportunity for K-12 teachers and administrators in the three-Hub region to share and learn more about the PACT, standards based materials, the TIMSS Report, web sites in all areas, and the latest in educational technology. Teachers may preregister by January 11, 1999. A $50 stipend will be provided for the first 300 South Carolina teachers who register and participate. To pre-register, see your principal or department chair for a registration form or call the Center at 641-3313.
If you would like to present a session, but have not submitted a session proposal form, please contact one of the Hubs listed above and request a form.
Preregistration fee: $10.00 per person (includes lunch and refreshments)
On-site Registration Fee: $15.00 per person
