Summer Work Opportunity
For Secondary Science Teachers,
Mathematics Teachers and Guidance Counselors
The Ruth Patrick Science Education Center, through the South Carolina Universities Research and Education Foundation (SCUREF), will be sponsoring a Summer Technical Work Program for Secondary School Science Teachers, math Teachers and Guidance Counselors from June 12 to August 4, 1995. Thirteen teachers, one each from the thirteen mathematics and science HUBs from across South Carolina, will be selected to work at the Savannah River Site with a scientist or engineer for an eight week period. Teachers will receive $550/week for participating in the program.
All middle and high school science teachers, mathematics teachers and guidance counselors are eligible to apply to the program. The application deadline is March 1, 1995. Please share this information with the teachers at your school.
