NATIONAL SCIENCE BOWL COMPETITION

The National Science Bowl is a double elimination high school team competition. Questions may be either multiple choice or short answer. The categories are chemistry, biology, physics, mathematics, astronomy, and general, earth, and computer science. Regional competitions will have two 8-minute halves with a 2-minute break (halves at the nationals will be longer). The questions for the final round(s) to determine the national first place winner, while in the same format, may also include science-related current events. The maximum number of participating teams in any region is determined by each facility. The SC Regional Science Bowl will be held Feb. 25, 1995 at SC State University.
