I am a home-educator with four children between the ages of 8 and 17. Our school name is Christian Academy of South Aiken; the acronymn CASA happens to be the Spanish word for home. I have been teaching my two boys and two girls for seven years using a wide variety of curricula. We start our school day with Bible lessons and prayer then move into our academic subjects. This year, my three oldest children and I have been studying Latin together as our second subject while my 8 year old reads or works on phonics and handwriting. Then my 17 year old, who is concurrently enrolled at USCA, leaves for the college on Tuesdays and Thursdays. He takes classes there and works about 10 hours per week at the Ruth Patrick Science Education Center (RPSEC). I also work part-time for the RPSEC. For about 6 weeks in the fall and 6 weeks in the spring, I lead ecology walks in Hitchcock Woods for school groups.

These photos were taken at sunrise on Hilton Head Island, SC. I enjoy getting up early and watching the sun rise.
