I am an elementary gifted education teacher in Columbia County, Georgia. I have been teaching for 21 years. I am currently teaching 5th graders three days a week and 3rd graders two days a week. I thoroughly enjoy the variety and flexibility the gifted education curriculum provides.
I grew up in western North Carolina. I have been married for almost 20 years and have 2 daughters; ages 16 and 13. Thus, I am a surviving mother of two teenagers!
I am working towards my Interdisciplinary Master of Arts in the Natural Sciences degree at the University of South Carolina-Aiken. I am currently enrolled in an Ecology of New England class. I have found practical use for all the classes I have taken. I think I have become a better teacher because of the experiences these classes have provided.
