South Carolina Science Standard Addressed:
2-4.2 Exemplify matter that changes from a solid to a liquid and from a liquid to a solid.

It is essential for students to know that matter can change from a solid to a liquid and a liquid to a solid.

Changing Solid to Liquid:
By heating- example: ice melts on a hot summer day

Make a list of things that change from solid to liquid when heated!

Changing Liquid to Solid:
By cooling- example: freezing your favorite juice to make a frozen ice treat

Make a list of things that change from liquid to solid when cooled!
