Barbara L. Kerley

I am an Aiken native.  My parents came to South Carolina to work for the Savannah River Site.  I attended school in Area 1 and graduated from Aiken High School in 1978.  Upon graduation, I attended USCA for 2 years and then transfered to USC in Columbia.  While attending school in Columbia, SC, I met and married my husband Bill.  We promptly moved to Nashville, TN.  I then transfered to MTSU and Vol State College to finish my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education.  Before I could begin teaching in Tennessee, we moved back to Aiken. I began working in Aiken County and then returned to USC to get my Masters in Elementary Education.
