This is first of four lesson on the Four Seasons for Ms. Kirkland's first grade class.  We have planted some seeds and have watched and made notes as they have grown.

You plant seeds in the spring.  The seeds will sprout and
grow into a plant.  You can tell when the seed is sprouting
because the ground will begin to crack.  Soon a tiny sprout
will show.

How many days did it take your seed to sprout?

Did all the seeds sprout the same day?

Trees begin to grow buds in the spring.
Which tree has buds on it?

What do the buds change to?

The weather begins to warm up in the spring.  We can wear short sleeves shirts.
We may not need to wear a coat.
What kind of clothes do you wear in the spring?
