I am Jody Childs. I am a 38 year old male who teaches 3rd-12th grade students at a field trip site on the Savannah River Site (SRS) near Aiken, South Carolina. Students from the Central Savannah River Area (CSRA) visit the U.S. Forest Service on SRS to participate in our program. We involve the students in natural resources environmental education lessons and programs. We also do several teacher workshops throughout the year. I really enjoy teaching students with such a wide range of ages, abilities and interests. I find it quite challenging and very rewarding.
I am happily married to Rhonda and we have a wonderful three year old daughter named Katelyn. Finally one of our own that we can attempt to influence in a positive way.
We are active members of Cedar Creek Church.
