Chukker Creek Elementary

I am a third grade teacher at Chukker Creek Elementary, teaching twenty-five students this year. I have a great class with 14 boys and 11 girls.   I have been teaching for two and a half years and I have found that in order to address all of the standards and all of the unique students, I need to make plenty of resources and teaching styles available.  To address some third grade standards involving Earth's Resources, I have chosen to create a lesson on Sedimentary Rocks.  In this lesson, you will learn of different types of sedimentary rocks, such as, sandstone, limestone, shale, conglomerate, and gypsum.  These kinds of rocks are interesting, so soar through the lesson and learn about how these types of rocks are formed and the characteristics of the different kinds.  Have fun!!
