After graduating from the University of South Carolina with a B.S. degree in Mathematics in the Spring of 1969, I started teaching math at Aiken High School when the principle called me after a teacher moved away. That summer I went back to college and took some education courses. I have been a math teacher for 14 years. I have taught at Aiken High, Schofield Middle, and South Aiken Baptist Christian. I have three sons. The oldest is married and expecting his first baby in August. I am very excited about being a grandmother,as well as my husband being a grandfather. My middle son lives in Columbia making a career in the retail business. My youngest son is in college at USCA, but next year he must transfer to USC in Columbia. He is majoring in computer engineering, and USCA does not have a four year program for his major.
