I am very interested in computer technology. I am a self-taught trainer for my school. I enjoy sharing what I learn with other educators so that they can learn interesting ways to incorporate technology in their classrooms. I normally teach a number of workshops after school during the year. In addition to that, I teach recertification credit courses on technology for the school district.
I serve as a cooperating teacher for student interns for the University of South Carolina Aiken.
I enjoy teaching Kids in College summer courses for the University of South Carolina Aiken.
I belong to SCMEA. (South Carolina Marine Educators Association) I attend the conferences in order to learn more about marine animals and plants.

I enjoy the outdoors. I enjoy softball, running, camping, hiking, biking, to name a few activities. My friends jokingly say that I should apply for a role on "Survivor." I could see myself participating in something like that.
I have been a runner since 1978. My family and I participate in numerous road running races throughout the year. I have completed a number of marathons and an ultra marathon. Our favorite road races are Peachtree Road Race in Atlanta and the Cooper River Bridge Run in Charleston. Because of our interests in running, we began coaching on the South Aiken Cross Country and Track teams. We also have coached the Palmetto Track and Field Jr. Olympic Team during the summers.
I am a huge supporter of the Boy Scouts of America. I have served on the committee for Troop 121 for a number of years. I was a Cub Scout leader for Pack 22. Then I began working with Troop 121. I am Wood Badge trained and I have been on many backpacking trips, including two backpacking trips to the Philmont Boy Scout Ranch in New Mexico. My husband and my two boys are all Eagle scouts.
