Using Shapes to Draw Racecar |
||||
As a fourth grade student, you know that you see many shapes everyday. You may see shapes in nature (a round rock), or in your home (a rectangular cookie sheet), or even on your own clothes (a square belt buckle). Not only can we see shapes on whole objects, but many times we can take a very complex thing and break it down into simple shapes. During this lesson, you will learn how to draw a racecar using very simple shapes - quadrilaterals, triangles, and circles. First, you must practice classifying the quadrilaterals and triangles. Then, you need to work on identifying the parts of a circle. Finally, you will be able to put it all together to make a racecar (pictured below). Who knows, maybe at the end, you will be able to create your own picture using simple shapes. To begin, click on the button that says Classifying Quadrilaterals. After you complete the lesson, go to the next lesson Classifying Triangles and then Identifying Circle Parts. After you have completed these lessons, click on Draw the Racecar. |
